HiveFit 100% Pea Isolate Proteins Q&A

How are we different? Most protein powders in the market will give you far less protein than advertised because of amino spiking (adding amino acids to raise the overall protein content of the powder when tested without disclosing on the label. Very unethical). Other companies may use fillers and/or thickening agents to make up some of the bulk of the protein, so when you are buying an Isolate protein, not only do you run the risk of taking in the above fillers, but also being blended with inferior sources of protein.

Being 100% pea isolate makes it the easiest for the digestive system. Some companies use rice protein (cheaper protein) but based on research and gut testing, most people don't respond well to rice protein. Our whey proteins do not contain anything artificial or not listed on our labels and we certainly do not amino spike.  Pea protein helps boost glutathione levels by increasing its precursors such cysteine, immunoglobulins and other active peptides. Glutathione is the body’s most potent antioxidant and supplementing with a high quality protein is the most effective way to raise it at the cellular level. Our plant based vegan protein is also a great source of naturally occurring IGF-1 which has shown to fight effects of aging, prevent muscle and bone loss, as well as protect against neurological disorders.

A product that says Pea Isolate on the label doesn't mean is only Pea Isolate, all it means by law is that 51% of what is in that container is Pea Isolate. You may be ask what makes the other 49%? Inferior sources of protein (if you are lucky) such as concentrates or casein or most likely fillers, gums, thickening agents, amino acids, etc. which may not be listed on the label. Sad and unethical, but some companies will take advantage of how the law is written to make money. At HiveFit we pride ourselves with having 100% transparency on our label and list even the most minimal ingredients used as well as its amounts.

Q&A

  • Is your protein spiked with anything? No, we don’t believe in cutting corners and our mission is to deliver the best quality products to the consumer. Protein spiking or also known as amino spiking not only would lower the quality and effectiveness of the product, but would also be unethical.

  • Does your pea protein have all of its naturally occurring bioactive peptides? Yes, HiveFit does not strip out or add any bioactive peptides, you get what nature has originally intended to give you.

Being 100% whey isolate makes the lactose content almost un-existent making it safe to those that are lactose intolerant. Our whey proteins do not contain antibiotics or hormones and we certainly do not amino spike.  Whey protein helps boost glutathione levels by increasing its precursors such cysteine, immunoglobulins and other active peptides. Glutathione is the body’s most potent antioxidant and supplementing with a high quality whey protein is the most effective way to raise it at the cellular level. Our whey is also a great source of naturally occurring IGF-1 which has shown to fight effects of aging, prevent muscle and bone loss, as well as protect against neurological disorders.

Q&A

  • Is your protein un-denatured? No, all whey protein powder in the United States needs to be pasteurized by law even at the lowest temperature but it will still cause some fractions of the protein to be altered, but that doesn’t mean the protein is just empty calories, you still get all of the benefits shown in studies as well as what HiveFit lists on the label.

  • Is your protein spiked with anything? No, we don’t believe in cutting corners and our mission is to deliver the best quality products to the consumer. Protein spiking or also known as amino spiking not only would lower the quality and effectiveness of the product, but would also be unethical.

  • Does your whey protein have all of its naturally occurring bioactive peptides? Yes, HiveFit does not strip out or add any bioactive peptides, you get what nature has originally intended to give you.

  • Is your protein coming from a grass-fed and non-GMO source? Yes, although not a critical step in whey isolate protein since the fat content is extremely low, HiveFit feels that every bit can make a difference and when striving to make the healthiest protein in the market, HiveFit won’t cut any corners to save money as little or insignificant as it may be. We pride ourselves in bringing our protein from Ireland, which next to New Zealand has the highest standards in whey sources in the world.

  • Does your protein have any added hormones or antibiotics? No, HiveFit whey protein is antibiotic, rBGH and rBST free.

  • Why does your whey protein not contain any hydrolyzed protein? 100% hydrolyzed protein in inedible, when breaking down the protein to such degree, this mimics what your stomach acid would do after it has digested a protein source completely. If we did that, the protein wouldn’t stay together in any form.

HiveFit Probiotic Digestive Support Q&A

  • Do your probiotics need to be refrigerated? Refrigeration maintains and extends the potency or live cell count of the beneficial bacteria. Although probiotics have a natural die-off rate over time, the cooler air in the refrigerator will reduce the die-off rate making them hold their potency much longer.

  • Are the probiotics shelf-stable? Yes, partially. It is perfectly fine to have the probiotics outside before opening. Ideally at room temperature with no direct sunlight. Once the probiotics are opened then refrigeration is highly suggested but not required. We use amber bottles which helps lower the moisture as well as the oxygen transfer rate in and out of the bottle.

HiveFit BCAA Formula Q&A

How are we different? When creating a BCAA, most companies focus on maximizing recovery time with the added branched chain amino acid supplementation. We pride ourselves in formulating a BCAAs with the added EAAs and non-EAAs, making it a full spectrum with improved bio-availability. Hardly ever are other company amino acid doses high enough for the supplement to do much, if anything. Where most companies fail is not activating mTOR which does require more ingredients and certain ratios in order for this synergy to happen efficiently. However, when activating this enzyme, it integrates both intra and extra cellular signals which regulates cell proliferation and survival, cell metabolism and cell growth making the most anabolic environment possible in the human body. This is why we pride ourselves with the highest quality BCAA in the market.

Q&A

  • When is the best time to take the BCAA? You may take a serving during training as it will help activate mTOR. You may also take BCAAs during the day, especially in those days where soreness is higher.

  • What are BCAAs for? Branched Chain Amino Acids, these are the building blocks of protein. Not only do we supply enough amino acids to help rebuild the teared down muscles but also to maximize the recovering process where hypertrophy takes place. We also added different compounds to help activate mTOR so not only will it help you build muscle and recover, but it will do it at the physiologically fastest rate possible.

  • How is your BCAA different from all the other companies? We focused mainly on activating mTOR and its delivery system. We have a higher amount of Leucine which is required for this activation and we supply the other ingredients necessary to transport it into the right places and maximize its capabilities, making it the most effective muscle cell proliferation blend in the market. This will also help prevent any muscle loss during extreme dieting.

  • Why did you add essential amino acids (EAAs)and non-essential amino acids (non-EAAs) to the formula? Based on the latest research, the results from adding these amino acid profiles to the branch chain amino acids has shown to maximize absorption and increase recovery on damaged muscle tissue during and post training. This is based on how our bodies perceive the the full spectrum as opposed to an isolation, therefore assimilating the product as a "food" rather than an isolated ingredient, where hardly if any gets utilized unless taken with foods.
